obyek kata depan adalah tunggal dan subjeknya jamak, atau jika objek dan kata
depannya jamak dan subjeknya tunggal, di sini dapat membingungkan dalam
mengenali subjek dan kata kerja yang tepat.

adalah di laci)

Dan contoh pertama, Anda mungkin berfikir bahwa doors adalah subjek karena dia berada secara langsung di depan kata kerja are. Padahal, doors bukanlah subjek, tapi objek dan kata depan to. Subjek dan kalimat itu key (singular), jadi kata kerjanya (to be) seharusnya is (singular).
Adapun pada
contoh kedua, Anda mungkin berfikir bahwa door adalah subjek karena
berada di depan kata kerja (to be) is. Padahal, door adalah adalah
objek dan kata depan to. Karena subjek kalimat itu keys (plural),
kata kerjanya seharusnya are (plural).
